Introduction to Home Appliance Micro Switches
Introduction to Automotive Micro Switches
Automotive micro switches are indispensable basic components in automotive electrical and electronic systems, widely used in critical locations such as door lock systems, seat adjustment mechanisms, and charging interfaces. Their main function is to accurately detect changes in mechanical position, action state, or travel, and quickly and stably convert these changes into electrical signals, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of the entire vehicle system.
In terms of structural design, automotive micro switches typically employ a snap-action contact structure. This structure achieves clear and rapid on/off switching through the instantaneous flipping of an internal spring, effectively reducing contact bounce and malfunctions, making it suitable for automotive control scenarios requiring high response accuracy.
In terms of performance, automotive micro switches possess long mechanical and electrical lifespans, enabling long-term stable operation under frequent operation and complex conditions. Their contact system is optimized to withstand multiple cycles of action, ensuring continuous reliable operation throughout the vehicle's lifespan and reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
Regarding safety and compliance, our micro switches have obtained numerous global safety certifications, such as ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ENEC, UL/cUL, CE, CB, and other global certifications, meeting the electrical safety and reliability requirements of major international markets. With their stable instantaneous action, reliable performance, and widely recognized safety certifications, Unionwell's automotive micro switches have become a trusted core component in modern automotive control systems.
Unionwell offers both OEM and custom automotive micro switch solutions, ensuring they meet the diverse performance, lifespan, and protection level requirements of various automakers. The picture shows Unionwell's most classic automotive micro switch model G303 Automotive Car Door Lock Switch.

Application Case
Application of Micro switches in Refrigerators
These micro switches are mainly used for lighting switches on the refrigerator/freezer door. They are primarily used to detect:
whether the refrigerator door is closed/has been opened;
whether the refrigerator lighting logic is functioning correctly based on the door's status.
Application of Micro switches in Door Control Systems
These micro switches are mainly used in door control systems for appliances such as microwave ovens, dishwashers, and washing machines, etc. They are primarily used to detect:
whether the door lock is properly engaged; the appliance can only operate normally after confirmation of this.
To prevent the appliance from operating even when the door lock is malfunctioning, thus avoiding safety hazards.
Application in Ice Maker Compressor
In ice makers, microswitches serve as status detection and control signal input elements, participating in the compressor start/stop logic control.
When ice production reaches the set conditions (e.g., full ice, mechanism in position), the mechanical structure triggers the microswitch, which outputs an on/off signal and transmits it to the control board or control circuit.
Upon receiving the microswitch signal, the control system determines the current ice production status. When a "full ice" or abnormal state is detected, the control board cuts off the start signal to the compressor, stopping its operation.
Application in Push Rod Motors
In push rod motors, micro switches primarily control the stroke through a combination of "mechanical triggering + electrical signal cutoff or feedback."
Mechanical limit points are set at the extension and retraction ends of the push rod motor, and micro switches are installed at the corresponding positions.
When the push rod motor is running, the push rod gradually approaches the end of its stroke.
Upon reaching the set position, the push rod physically contacts and presses the actuator of the micro switch.
The output signal of the micro switch is directly connected in series in the motor power supply circuit; once triggered, the motor power is cut off, and the motor stops running.
